I have taught in tuition centres and i’m a private tutor currently. I strive to make learning engaging and approachable, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

In my teaching and tutoring roles, I have consistently designed and enhanced learner-centred curricula that align with MOE standards while actively engaging students. For example: I developed individualized lesson plans for Primary 1–6 students, particularly in English, tailoring content to match each learner’s strengths and areas for growth. This ensured lessons were relevant, accessible, and paced to support learning retention and confidence.

I integrated MOE-approved strategies like STELLAR in my English lessons to improve composition writing, oral skills (OREOS), and grammar, with over 80% of my Primary 6 students scoring AL4 or better in the PSLE.

While teaching art at the secondary level, I designed curriculum and exam papers for Sec 3–4 Higher Art students, achieving an 85% pass rate, including a high rate of distinctions. This involved balancing academic expectations with creative exploration.

I created a right-brain training program for K1-2 students, including visual-spatial games and storytelling, fostering early cognitive and creative development. As the lead for CCA art programs, I developed engaging, project-based activities that led to a 60% competition win rate, reflecting both skill development and student motivation.

My ability to plan and lead holiday programs, enrichment classes, and educational outings further showcases my focus on holistic, learner-driven education. Across all these roles, I have placed strong emphasis on student engagement, differentiated instruction, and real-world relevance, core elements of a learner-centred curriculum.

Dear Sir

I've tutored for 17 years. Right now, I'm tutoring at a Centre in Holland village and Tampines on a relief basis.

I'm tutoring a couple of subjects, like English, Mandarin, Social Studies, Psychology, General paper, Literatures, primary Math and Science., Business Studies and Economics. I've worked with a number of syllabuses. I'm working with students from various age groups and cultural background.

I make lessons interesting through diversified delivery. Certainly I still love tutoring, teaching and training. My lessons are always interactive and I'm a dynamic and versatile tutor. I'm an influencer, a mentor and a guide to my students. I train creativity in students.

In my decade of tutoring, I've carried out a lot of teaching-related work like writing pre-lesson plans, creating teaching materials, writing post lesson records and progress reports, liaising with parents, setting exam papers, marking and grading them.

Currently I'm writing poems for the big kids and adults. If I can find the time, I want to continue writing more books, especially non-fictional books for children.

As I'm a life speaker cum writer, I train writing and speaking skills effectively.

I’ve taught students from Singapore, the US, UK, and India through online platforms. I focus on clarity, conceptual understanding, and exam-specific training using customized study plans and question sets.
