You can register as a tutor on STBB by signing up on our website and completing the tutor registration form. Once your profile is approved, you'll gain access to available assignments which you can apply for with ease.

• What documents do I need to submit for verification?

​

To verify your profile, we require you to upload your highest education certificate when completing the tutor registration form. Depending on your profile and assigned lessons, supplementary documents (e.g., NRIC for identity verification, additional relevant certifications, academic transcripts) may be requested during the verification process.

• How long does the verification process take?

​

Verification is typically completed within 24 hours.

• Can I edit my profile after registration?

​

For any amendments or additional information you wish to add to your profile after registration, please send an email to our support team at cs@stbbsg.com. We will assist you promptly.

b) Assignments & Matching

• How does STBB match me with students?

​

We match you with students based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including your subject expertise, teaching experience, and qualifications. We also consider specific parameters requested by parents, such as gender preference, preferred dates and times, and location, to ensure the best possible fit.

• How will I be notified about new assignments?

​

You will be notified about new assignment opportunities directly via email.

• Am I obligated to accept every assignment offered?

​

No. You have full discretion to choose and accept only those assignments that best align with your expertise, availability, and preferences before committing.

• Can I specify my preferred subjects, levels, and locations?

​

Yes, you can specify your preferred subjects, teaching levels, and desired tutoring locations within your tutor profile during the registration process.

• How do I communicate with parents before starting an assignment?

​

Once an assignment is confirmed for the first lesson, we will provide you with the necessary contact details and address to facilitate direct communication with the parents. This ensures you can discuss specifics and prepare effectively.

 

c) Payment & Commissions

• What is STBB's commission structure?

​

STBB operates on a transparent, one-time commission structure equivalent to 50% of the first month's tuition fee. This commission is only applicable upon the successful confirmation and commencement of the first lesson. For complete details, please refer to our full Terms & Conditions.

• How are tuition fees collected?

​

The first month's tuition fee (from which our commission is deducted) will be collected directly by STBB from the parents. For all subsequent months, payment arrangements will be made directly between the tutor and the parent.

• Are there any hidden fees?

​

No, there are no hidden fees. Our commission structure is fully transparent and outlined clearly.

​

• What happens if the first lesson is cancelled?

​

If the first lesson is cancelled before it commences, no fees or commissions will be collected from either the parent or the tutor.
