🧩 What Is Junior Science Detectives?

Junior Science Detectives is an immersive, hands-on science investigation workshop where children step into the role of real detectives and learn how scientists solve problems using evidence and reasoning.

Using age-appropriate forensic techniques, students collect clues, test information, and compare evidence — discovering that real science is not about guessing, but about thinking carefully and eliminating possibilities.

The workshop ends with an exciting mystery case:

🕵️ “Who REALLY stole the cookie?”

And yes — only evidence can reveal the answer.

🔍 What Young Detectives Will Do

During the workshop, students will: • 🖐️ Investigate partial fingerprints to rule out suspects • ✉️ Reveal secret messages — and decide which clues can be trusted • 🔎 Examine fibre evidence to compare similarities and differences • 🧠 Eliminate suspects step by step using reasoning and evidence • 📂 Work as a team to solve a final mystery case Every activity is designed to make children think, discuss, and explain, just like real scientists.

👶 Who Is This For?

• Primary school students (recommended P3–P6) • Curious kids who enjoy puzzles, mysteries, and hands-on activities • Learners who like thinking, analysing, and asking “why?” No prior science knowledge needed.
